Founded in 2001, the Hampshire Township Historical Society began with a group of local citizens who believed Hampshire’s stories mattered. Their goal was simple but important: to preserve the artifacts, traditions, and shared experiences that shape life in the Village of Hampshire and the surrounding township.
From early settlement to generations of growth and change, our history lives not only in objects, but in memories passed down, stories retold, and traditions carried forward.
Today, HTHS serves as a steward of that living history, collecting, caring for, and sharing photographs, documents, and personal stories that connect past and present. As Hampshire continues to evolve, this work grows even more meaningful, ensuring that the stories defining our community are preserved and passed on for generations to come.
